Driveway Construction FAQs
Do you install asphalt or concrete driveways?+
Our specialty is gravel driveways — construction, repair, grading, and drainage. For asphalt or concrete surfaces, we can prep the base and coordinate with a paving contractor.
Why do driveways wash out?+
Almost always drainage. Water either wasn't given anywhere to go or the crown was flat and it ran down the drive instead of off of it. Fixing a wash-out means fixing the drainage first, not just adding more rock.
How long does a gravel driveway last?+
A properly built gravel drive with real base and working drainage can last many years with occasional grading and top-up rock. A drive built on dirt with no drainage may not survive a single wet season.
Can you build a driveway on a long rural property?+
Yes — long rural driveways are a big part of what we do. We plan drainage, culverts, and turn-outs along the whole run.
Do you install culverts?+
Yes, where the road entry or drainage crossing requires one, we set the culvert as part of the driveway build. County or road-authority permits are the property owner's responsibility.
Can you fix a driveway I already have?+
Often yes — regrade the surface, rebuild the crown, address the drainage, and add rock. If the base is completely gone, sometimes a rebuild is more economical than repeated repairs.
How much does a driveway cost?+
